The modern galleries lay in contrast to the olden walls onlooking the visitors A gallery showcasing the history of Port Blair has been recently constructed. Also, this was the only place in whole premises with any Air conditioning shading people from tormenting heat and humidity A typical cell within the Jail. Most rooms had entrance from one end of the wall giving some privacy in a corner. The corridors of the jail gave a trapped view of the outside world Latch system for all cells consisted of dedicated slots and huge bolts
